Presented by First Farmers Bank & Trust, Honeywell Arts Academy’s Emerging Performers Series will feature an exclusive, intimate performance from the singer-songwriter
The Honeywell Arts Academy’s Emerging Performers Series, presented by First Farmers Bank & Trust, is proud to announce its February 2025 concert experience. On Thursday, Feb. 13 at 6:30 p.m., Honeywell alumna Beatrix will take the stage at the Columbia Club’s Crystal Terrace.
This unique and expansive concert experience is open to the public and will feature a 60-minute live performance from Beatrix, a Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter from Short Hills, New Jersey. Event tickets are $65 per person, with a limited capacity of 80 guests.
Through her music, Beatrix delves into the disorienting experiences of growing up, love, fear and life’s uncertainties. Her sound is defined by powerful yet delicate vocals, conveying a depth of feeling rarely found in contemporary music. Over the course of two years, she learned guitar, piano and wrote and recorded her first songs, culminating in her debut album, Vertigo. Inspired by 90s alt-rock, indie singer-songwriter lyricists and chamber pop instrumentation, Vertigo is a 13-track exploration of the disorientation of growing up, falling in love and wondering what happens next.
“At First Farmers Bank & Trust, we are honored to partner with the Honeywell Arts Academy for their Emerging Performers Series,” said Tade Powell, Senior Vice President, Director of Communications & Public Relations. “This collaboration allows us to continue fostering and supporting local community growth. Through this unique concert series, we can celebrate creativity and innovation in the arts, and we empower these emerging artists to flourish. We’re excited to contribute to such a meaningful cultural initiative.”
Debuted in November 2024, the Honeywell Arts Academy Emerging Performers Series creates a unique and expansive musical experience to enrich connections and positively impact the next generation of musicians. The next performance in the series is scheduled for March 6, featuring a concert from Michael Shofi and Sofie Zamchick.
The Emerging Performers Series was curated by Ranaan Meyer, the GRAMMY and Emmy award-winning double bassist of Time for Three and Founder and Artistic Director of Honeywell Arts Academy. His rich history in Indianapolis ensures the Emerging Performers Series will be a powerful experience for audiences.
“I am absolutely thrilled to see the Honeywell Arts Academy Emerging Performers Series take off,” said Raanan Meyer. “This new initiative not only showcases the incredible talent of up-and-coming musicians but also fosters a vibrant and creative musical community. It’s a privilege to contribute to a platform that escalates their reach through artistic expression. I can't wait to see how this series unfolds and the impact it will have on the future of music in Indianapolis and beyond.”
Columbia Club members and the public will have the opportunity to enjoy the 60-minute salon style concert, artist mingling before and/or after the performance, and networking with other members. Champagne and hors d’oeuvres will be served at 5:30 p.m. prior to the concert.
“We are delighted to host the Emerging Performers Series at the Columbia Club,” said Molly Richardson, Assistant General Manager at the Columbia Club. “This event aligns perfectly with our commitment to supporting local community involvement opportunities throughout Indianapolis. We look forward to providing a vibrant space where emerging artists can shine and connect with new audiences. It’s an honor to support the arts in this way and be part of these artists’ journeys.”
